These numbers were made to go with the Birthday Party Hat pattern.

Here's the pattern:


MATERIALS
Worsted Weight Yarn
G/4.0mm Hook
Yarn Needle

STITCH GUIDE
ch = chain
dc = double crochet
esc = extended single crochet
hdc = half double crochet
sc = single crochet
YO = yarn over

SIZE
4” tall (approx.) using worsted weight yarn and G hook.
This will vary with hook and yarn choices.

NOTES
*Some numbers may need to be shaped slightly while attaching to your project.
*Beginning chains do not count as stitches
*For double digit birthdays, I suggest using a DK Weight or Light Worsted Weight yarn. I used Lion Brand Kitchen Cotton & Bernat Handicrafter  to make the numbers above.
SPECIAL STITCHES
extended single crochet (esc) = insert hook in stitch, draw up a loop, YO, pull through first loop on hook, YO, pull through both loops on hook. This is used in place of a double crochet when starting a row.

ONE
1. Ch 10, sc across, ch 1, turn (9)
2-3. sc across, ch 1, turn (9)
4. sk 1st st, sl st x 2, sc x 3 , ch 1, turn <leave last 3 sts unworked> (3)
5-11. sc across, ch 1, turn (3)
12. sc across - do not turn (3)
13. Ch 5, sc across ch and each st, ch 1, turn (7)
14. sc x 3, sc3tog, sk last st, ch 1, turn (4)
15. sc across, ch 1, turn (4)
16. sc x 2, dec. Fasten. (3)
Hide strings.
 
TWO
1. Ch 10, sc across, ch 1, turn (9)
2-3. sc across, ch 1, turn (9)
4. sc x 4 (leave last 5 sts unworked), ch 1, turn (4)
